about

Hi everyone! We miss you!

Brien and I learned and recorded this beautiful @quartermilethunder song a few months back rehearsing for our record release show. We never intended to release it, but we like it a lot and it just seems to have some new pulse these days. We were pretty much unplugged; with only a classical guitar, viola, violin and 5 or 10 reverb pedals. No fuzz or distortion at all, if you can believe it? Aubrey and I put some new vocals on it after Learning went to bed the other night. Felt great to sing together again.

We are all huge QMT fans, and we miss playing together. Buy their record!

Playing with friends is the best, isn't it? We miss y'all so much.

Stay safe out there. We love you.

lyrics

I go through the days like they're numbered
I get through the nights the best I can
Some days I feel alright
Like I'd found some new insight

But of course, there's still some pain
Let it pour down the drain

I could be so happy with a girl like you
Nobody ever treats me like you do
I'm yours if you want to take me on
Yours if that is what you want

But of course, there's still some pain
Let it pour down the drain

“The Keener Family’s rich melodies float languorously atop warm guitars and strings heavy with reverb— When Christopher and Aubrey Ann sing together they sound like Bill Callahan and Emmy Lou Harris”
